Road Closure for Social Distancing

Calgary, Canada ,2020

Another response to COVID-19 to ensure the physical distance while allowing people to still being active and getting fresh air was set in Calgary, Canada. For one weekend, they closed several traffic lanes for motorized traffic. Instead, people had enough space to walk and bike there. However, it was recommended to go to less crowded places if possible, rather than it should act like an invitation to go to the most popular parks. Other cities like Denver did similar and closed park roads for cars. We think it is a great way to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and to promote active mobility. What do you think about this example? What are other ways of promoting social distancing in the city streets?
