As part of the reopening of San Salvador’s economic and social life, Delgado Street in the historic center was transformed into a colorful piece of art.
Artist behind this 200 meter long #streetmural is Rodolfo Díaz @rodo.diaz10. The project was realized in collaboration with the @alcaldia_sansalvador, @glasswingi and @usaid. The intervention not only improves the #publicspace and attracts people through its aesthetic appeal, but in the spirit of the #CPTED strategy (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) aims to reduce crime and improve the perception of safety, which also promotes economic growth, cultural spaces and tourism.
What do you think? Can #muralart help to prevent crime and build a community sense?
